I would like to start off by saying thanks to whoever nominated me for Secretary and President for the UNT chapter of AEE. Despite being nominated for both positions, I am only going to run for Secretary. This is my first semester at UNT, and consequently AEE, and would like to learn the ropes as an officer before running for President. I have already had the honor of participating in the 2014 Globalcon in Atlantic City, NJ, and am fully behind this organization.
I am excited to be a part of a growing organization that seeks to motivate college students to tackle the pressing issues the energy industry is facing, and will face in the near future. I also cannot think of another organization that would send five students to a conference in Atlantic City. That was such a fantastic trip. I look forward to serving in this organization in any way necessary, and am extremely grateful for the opportunity. Thank you so much for your votes!

Over the last two years, I have been apart of AEE and got to enjoy the people here and just enjoy seeing it grow. This last year I joined the AEE as the Webmaster Chair, so the website you see here is my handy work. However, I wish to become Secretary because I know how important communication can be. And my goal as the Secretary would be to bridge that gap between the officers, chairs, members and professionals.
Reasoning:
- Getting a minor in Technical Writing
- Knows how to write short and concise emails that get to the point of the matter
- Can be organized and knows how to get the information out to the community
- I have held a leadership position in both AEE and the Society of Women Engineers for the last year
Help me bring our amazing organization to the next level and vote me for Secretary! Also thank you to my potential voters, good luck to all the nominees and let the odds ever be in your favor.
